COVID-19 Update – Open For Business

Open For Business starting May 26 2020

I am opening Elks Barber Shop for business on May 26 and getting back to our regular business hours, 8:30 am to 5 pm. Check the regular business hours.

I don’t mind saying I miss going to Elks Barber Shop each morning. My self-isolation was not difficult, my lovely wife and I passed the time reading, watching some videos, doing a few puzzles. I am definitely ready to come back.

We will be following the WorkSafe BC regulations, which means

  • customers and I will need to wear a mask while getting a haircut;
  • we will limit the number of people in the barber shop to a maximum of 2 in the waiting area plus one in the chair.

First Re-Opening Day – May 26

On Tuesday May 26, if the waiting area is full, you can leave your cell phone number to keep your place in line. I will send you a text when there is room for you to come back to the shop.

Haircut By Appointment Only

Starting May 27, 2020

To make life easier for customers to adapt to these new regulations I will only give haircuts by appointment. To book an appointment call Elks Barber Shop at ### during regular business hours.

Yes, a mask will be necessary until some time in the future when WorkSafe BC changes the regulations.

You are welcome to bring your own suitable mask, or I will have a mask here for you.

It Has Been a Long 2 Months

I am so glad to be back at work and I look forward to seeing all my good friends and customers.
British Columbia has done a good job of keeping the number of cases of COVID-19 very low. I hope we can stay healthy and act smart to prevent a second wave of the virus from disrupting our lives in the future.
